It's November the fifth! I'll have to be at 8335 words for both stories tonight! Sexitt is already passed that mark, so yay! And Vleugels en Oceanen is getting there with 6186 words.

I'm working on art school stuff at the moment and after I have the feeling I've done that well enough I'm going to continue write for the rest of tonight!

First of all; I lost the game.

Secondly, NaNo is going alright.

I still don't have a real plot for my original story, but that's alright. I'll have thought of something by the end of today, I'm sure of it.

Sexitt is going alright, I've written over 4k, still need to write 1k for it today, will do, will do.

I need to learn art history, even though right now I'd much rather write. But alas, it needs to be done.

It's turned november again, which means NaNoWriMo!
And of course I'm attending.

The plan for 2009 is the following, write 50k on the story with Kate. (So we'll have written 100k in total this months, which will bring the story over 200k! yay!)
And write 50k for a story that I've yet to start (so I can actually say I've played fair)

So far I've written 3365 words for the sexitt, which I write together with Kate. So i'm on track on that one at least.

Now I need to think of a plot for my other story. I already know the two main characters so that's something!

Just felt like posting a quick update.
School's going great! Lots to do, but that's all fine. I'll manage it :) Although it's mind-breaking sometimes. I always need to have a reason behind everything in a piece of art that I make. Therefore everything needs to be thought through, and that's sometimes difficult when you have to finish something in ten minutes... but it's good learning experience!
Just four days into the Art School life and I can feel the change already! I wonder what I'm going to be like in four years!

(yieks, evil sounds coming from downstairs... I keep on getting this feeling that I'm not alone! gah!)

Maybe I'm every bit as insignificant as I sometimes think. Maybe I'm too smart to put everything on paper for the world to understand and I should actually learn to be 'less smart' when it comes down to sending the message over to other people.

I know what I'd like to believe, but I simply can't believe that. I'm not that smart and even if I was, people aren't that stupid.

Whenever I've made something it's not unusual for people to go 'hm' and walk away again or not evey say anything. Usually I have the feeling I've actually made something semi-good. Of course I always think my work can be better, but it's worth more than a 'hm'. Where's the constructive critisism? Where's the emotional reaction?
I don't get it.

Maybe I think too much about things that don't need thinking about. Maybe what people already know and have explored I'm still trying to explore? Maybe I'm making stuff that everybody has seen before... that doesn't surprise anyone.

I need to change something about it, but if I don't know what exactly triggers people to the right reaction, how would I know what to create and think about?

Theory 2: (just a little adjustment, but gives the definition of 'desorientated' quite a different swing)

I said before that desorientation is what occures when one is 'lost'.

Lost:
1. To part with unintentionally or unwillingly, as by accident, misfortune, negligence, penalty, forfeit, etc.; to be deprived of; as, to lose money from one's purse or pocket, or in business or gaming; to lose an arm or a leg by amputation; to lose men in battle.
2. To cease to have; to posess no longer; to suffer diminution of; as, to lose one's relish for anything; to lose one's health.
3. Not to employ; to emply ineffectually; to thwor away; to waste; to squander; as, to lose a day; to lose the benefits of instruction.

To but it a little simpler:

To part with something.
To cease to have something.
To lose one's way in something.
To ruin something.
To be deprivd of something.
To fail to enjoy something.
To prevent from gaining something.

It's not just not being able to get something that makes someone feel 'lost', it's the loss of something you had that can cause disorientation as well.

Doing a thing on 'disorientating'. What exactly the thing is going to be I don't know. Maybe a short movie? Maybe a short story... a few photographs? Or something else, who knows. Maybe even a drawing!

The thing with disorientating is that you can only be disorientated if you have someplace or somewhere you want to go or want to be. For instance if you need to go to the toilet in a building you've never been before and you get lost, you feel disorientated as to where you are within the building. This of course is one of the more 'logical' definitions of disorientating. Another thing that can be disorientating is when you want to achieve something, like publishing a book, and things are confusing and you can't seem to manage it and you don't know why, that's disorientating. In the latter example it's more about what you want to do, where you want to be. It's more within you.

But either way, it's about getting 'lost'.

If there's no place you want to go to, you can't get lost right? If you're just a stroller and you don't care you who are and you don't want to find out and there's nothing you want that you don't already have, you're never disorientated.

I like to pick extremes. So I want to go for making a piece without disorientation. The life of someone that actually isn't alive at all, that doesn't want anything. Or to do a piece about the extreme forms of disorientating where someone has nothing and wants a lot.

Maybe I should do both... ah well, I'm not through the thinking part yet, so I'll talk more later.

I might just start recording now... I'll ask my brother to help me with putting it online as soon as he's awake. (Sleepy head he is!)

There's nothing that does one better on an early hot morning then a cup of fresh Iced Coffee made with vanilla icecream. I feel awake now!

I'm thinking about creating a forum somewhere and go on to fanfiction.net to 'collect' stories that are completed and good enough to be transformed into a audio book. Only problem is, I still need to have someone who can read it properly and has a microphone good enough to record it with. Oh, and another problem, can I actually put up a forum where those audio files can be stores... not so sure about that.

If there's anyone out there who things he/she can help me, let me know!

I think it's time for a new era guys... and that is the era that will bring fanfiction to iPods. I love reading fanfiction a lot, there's some really good stuff out there. Some of it is even so good that I wouldn't mind having it in Audio Book form.
I'm thinking about putting up this fanfictionaudio site (or whatever I'll name it) and have a small group of 'voice actors' that writers can use to help there books come alive to the ears of many readers. Of course the writer is free to be his or her own voice actor, but just in case microphones aren't as good as they have to be to understand each other a small group of 'official' voice actors will do the trick. I have to make sure people of all countries (that includes the less capable of English) can understand the stories perfectly well.
Anyone interested in helping me out here?
I want a clear design and easy-to-use navigator on the website. Fanfiction.Net is a great inspiration to me, it looks really good and everyone can go around using it.
This are my thoughts for now.

I've written 4k just now, which I'm happy about. It's a better scene than any of the scenes I've written yesterday. I'm just going to continue to write like this, it's very relaxing. :)

I'm about to reach 70k, which is worth a little dance.

Going to have a innocent Write-a-Thon tonight. Want to reach at least 70k, but that's easy.
For the rest, I'm just going to try to get as many words written down as possible, seeing as next week I won't have time to write at all.
I'd like to end JulNoWriMo with about 200k, but I think that's not going to happen... I 'm going on vacation as well. Next weekend is the only weekend I still have time to write before going on vacation. If I do another crazy Saturday I might just pull of 150k in total, which would be great. :)

Right now I'm going to gather some inspiration. *in search for fanfiction*

So, alright I didn't make it to 50k, but that goal was kind of over the top anyway. I've never done anything like 50k, but I needed to set the goal to make sure I was going to get as high as possible. 50k will be something I achieve later.

But what I did manage is 30-effin-thousand words :D Which is my new personal high score! A pretty impressive high score I might add!

I am very happy with this :)

And am now going to rest my mind for a little while. I've been starting to get weird side effect from Write or Die, I keep on seeing the screen go red whenever I don't type for a while. Not good right o___O;;

It's crazy to think that if I write a little longer I'll have written more than half of the story TODAY!

I'll have to spend aproximately another 8 hours writing. As it's half past ten that means I have 2 and a half hours of free time.

Gawd, how on EARTH?!!

But whatever, I've made it to 25k and I'm pleased as fuck:D

If I reach 20k I'm going to celebrate.

I've made it to 14k, which means, I've burst my old high score, and it's only just ten past three.

I think that after I've reached 50k I'm going to write on until I finish the story and then start a new one. But that's a bit difficult of course, because I don't have another plot or anything. Ah well, let's see where this boat takes me before thinking about building a new one.
